About Me
Alexander Malsan
Alexander Malsan is a dedicated music teacher at Chazy Central School, where he provides music services by teaching K-6 General Music, as well as Jr. High and High School Chorus. An alum of SUNY Plattsburgh, the College of Saint Rose, and Boston University, he has been actively involved in vocal performance for 25 years, alongside his professional experience in playing piano and organ. With a decade of experience as an educator, Alex also enjoys singing with the Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir, performing at two local churches, entertaining at the local movie theater, and cheering for the Plattsburgh State Men and Women’s hockey teams during his free time.

MUSICAL SERVICES Price List
PIANO LESSONS
30 MINUTEs: $25.00
45 MINUTES-$35.00
60 MINUTES-$45.00
All piano lessons are tailored to the individual student, ensuring that each learner receives personalized music services. Students will start by being introduced to the basics of piano pedagogy, which includes essential topics such as proper playing posture, proper finger techniques, and reading and recognizing note names on both the music staff and the piano keys. Additionally, students will learn about pedal technique, different types of keyboard touch (light, medium, heavy), and expressive techniques in piano. Lessons occur from September till May, and summer lessons are also available for those interested in further enhancing their skills, alongside our vocal lessons.
VOCAL LESSONS
30 MINUTEs: $25.00
45 minutes: $35.00
60 minutes: $45.00
Vocal lessons are available to students aged 10 and older (Grade 4 and up) as part of our comprehensive music services. Throughout the vocal lesson process, we will focus on, but are not limited to: proper breathing techniques and their application during a piece, proper vowel formation, proper diction, and proper performance techniques. Additionally, we will cover a variety of different musical genres, enhancing your skills alongside our piano lessons.

Music Performance Services
Piano/Accompanist
I’m available to provide my organist services for a variety of occasions, including weddings, anniversaries, funerals, birthdays, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Quinceañeras, private events, and much more! My event fee starts at $100.00 for a minimum of two hours of service per event.
Voice
I sing various kinds of music from a multitude of genres, including country, pop, rock, soft rock, classical, romantic, musicals, and much more! I offer my vocal performance for a variety of different occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, funerals, birthdays, and more. My event fee for vocal services is a minimum of $100.00 for two hours of service per event.
FILL-IN ORGANISt SERVICEs
I have been playing the pipe organ for over 20 years and have experience providing organist services at various churches in the Capital Region. At age 13, I was chosen as the Organ Scholar, a position in which I played the organ for some of the main services, including supporting vocal performances and choral selections, at the Cathedral of All Saints in Albany, NY.
MUSICAL THEATRE SERVICES
I have spent many years in the community theater and semi-professional theater scene, where I have directed and music directed multiple children’s theater productions, particularly in Valatie, NY, the Capital Region, and Plattsburgh.
